Dr Brennen McKenzie has twenty years in small animal general practice, alongside post-graduate training in animal behavior and epidemiology. He has served as President of the Evidence-Based Veterinary Medicine Association and is currently Director of Veterinary Medicine for Loyal, a San Francisco-based biotechnology company developing therapies to extend lifespan and healthspan in dogs. Since 2009, Dr. McKenzie has managed the SkeptVet Blog, and in 2019 he published Placebos for Pets? The Truth about Alternative Medicine in Animals. He also writes a monthly column on evidence-based medicine for Veterinary Practice News.
